Coffee Regional EMS provides service to the 38,000 citizens that live in the 600 square miles of Coffee County. Providing Advanced Life Support, our Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Paramedics are licensed by the State of Georgia Office of EMS and Trauma. We answer about 6,000 calls per year.

CRMC’s EMS state-of-the-art equipment and technology make us leaders in the EMS industry.

Stryker Power Pro Stretchers and Stair Chairs
These stretchers, which lift and lower at the touch of a button, lower the rate of back injuries and are much more comfortable to the patients. The stretchers were purchased for EMS by the CRMC Auxilians, who have also provided funds for numerous pieces of equipment, including the purchase of an ambulance.

Verathon Glidescope Ranger
Coffee Regional is the first EMS in the state to use this technology. The Glidescope is a video camera on a blade that is inserted into a patient’s mouth to allow better visualization of the anatomy of the airway. Paramedics often have to provide a secure airway for patients not breathing on their own or are unable to otherwise breathe adequately. Although there are numerous ways to assist people in breathing, intubation (placing a breathing tube into the windpipe) is the best and most secure. The “Ranger” increases success rates on difficult intubations. This technology is widely used by our military in Iraq and Afghanistan.

LifePak 12 Heart Monitors
Just like the monitors at the hospital, the LifePak monitors allow us to see what the heart is doing. They are capable of reading the heart and assisting the Emergency Department Physicians in deciding if the patient should be given a clot busting drug.
