About Us
The Women’s Health Services Department consists of three units: Labor & Delivery (L&D), Women’s Health Services (WHS) and the Nursery. Our goal is to assure that all patients receive quality care within a safe environment. All three units are staffed with highly trained personnel with the longevity of staff ranging from 2 to 35 years experience.

Labor & Delivery
Labor & Delivery has 6 LDRP’s and 2 triage beds. All rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that far exceeds hospitals of the same size. We have computer charting and continuous fetal monitoring surveillance in each room, and at the nurses’ station. Each spacious room is decorated with a birthing bed and matching furniture to provide a home-like environment. We deliver an average of 729 births a year. Each birth is announced by the playing of Brahms Lullaby that can be heard softly all over the hospital.

Women's Health Services
Women’s Health Services consists of five private rooms that provide privacy to our patients. Each room is equipped with a couch that folds down for family members that wish to stay overnight with a loved one.

Nursery
The level one Nursery is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art equipment for well babies and two NICU beds for those babies that need closer observation. All of our highly trained Registered Nurses are NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certified. A Nursery nurse, an L&D nurse and Physician attend each delivery.

Perinatal Education offers free childbirth and breast-feeding classes for patients that deliver at Coffee Regional. To sign up for these classes, call 912-384-1900, Ext. 2380.
