Visitor Information

Visiting Hours and Guidance
Family and friends play an important role in the healing process and can improve patient morale. However, rest and quiet are also essential for the patient's well being. Please be thoughtful of the patient you are visiting as well as others by observing the following guidelines to prevent patients from over tiring.

In general hospital areas, visitors may include children ages five and above as long as they are supervised by an adult. Visitors should be limited to only two (2) people with a patient at one time. Visitors should remain in the patient's room or another designated area. For the privacy and safety of others, we ask that visitors avoid congregating in hospital hallways. General patient visiting hours are 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. every day. Since many patients are especially susceptible to infection, avoid visiting if you have signs of a cold, flu or any other infectious disease. Please review the sections below for unit-specific visiting hours and guidance.

Intermediate Care Unit / Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Visitors should be limited to family members, two at a time, age eight (8) and over.
Pastoral support may visit at any time, if it does not interfere with patient care.
Visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Pediatrics
Due to state rules and regulations, no one under 12 years of age is allowed to visit the Pediatric Unit.

Smoke-Free Campus
In an effort to promote health and well-being, tobacco use is no longer allowed by anyone (including, but not limited to, employees, patients, volunteers, visitors, physicians, residents, students, emergency medical staff and contractors) while in our facility or on our campus. This policy affects Coffee Regional Medical Center's main campus as well as any other properties including the medical office buildings next door.

Telephone Services
Family and friends may call directly into a patient room from outside the hospital by dialing (912)260-5 plus the patient's three (3) digit room number. For example, to call room #299, the caller would dial 260-5299 locally or if dialing long distance, (912)260-5299. To allow for the patient's proper rest, the operator does not transfer calls to rooms from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.; however, patients may place outgoing calls at any time.

Waiting Areas
Patient rooms in the ICU, IMCU and the Emergency Department do not have phones due to the specialized care that patients need in these areas. Family and friends may call waiting areas to speak with other family members at the following numbers.
