Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She also holds a Medical Review Officer Certification in Employee Health, further showcasing her diverse expertise in the medical field. She was a Professor of Medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine -Savannah Campus, and brings over 18 years of experience in medical education and leadership, making her the ideal choice to lead CRMC’s developing residency program. Dr. Denton has received numerous teaching awards over the years, including being named the Internal Medicine Teaching Attending of the Year five times by the Department of Internal Medicine at Memorial Health University. Her teaching style and dedication to mentoring medical students and residents have earned her the respect of her colleagues and students. In 2024, Dr. Denton was honored with the National Election to Mastership in the American College of Physicians.
