Cancer Care Close to Home

Hope. We give cancer patients real hope every day. Expert oncologist Dr. Eric Anderson leads our personalized oncology care.  We administer a full spectrum of cancer care through immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and chemotherapy in an on-site infusion center inside Coffee Regional Medical Center. Our cancer patients and their families benefit from personal & compassionate care that’s close to home.

Coffee Regional Medical Center’s cancer program is accredited by the Commission on Cancer. This accreditation assures patients and their families that Coffee Regional provides high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care when looking for a cancer program. CRMC voluntarily met the Commission on Cancer’s standards and has been accredited by the Commission on Cancer (CoC)) standards, a Quality Program of the American College of Surgeons.

Our cancer specialists work directly with patients and their family members to explain the diagnosis, recommend the best course of treatment, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and other therapies, and either provide care or work as part of a medical team to care for them during their treatment. Each diagnosis and treatment journey is unique, and at CRH Oncology Group, each patient is treated in a personalized manner to reflect that.

CRH Oncology Group services all of South Georgia in treating adult malignancies, ranging from lung, colon, and breast cancers to lymphomas, leukemias, and sarcomas. Treatments include immunotherapy, targeted antibody-based therapy, chemotherapy, and oral therapy, all given locally in our beautiful and spacious Infusion Center on the first floor of Coffee Regional Medical Center.

Our team will continue to follow you after successful treatment, making sure cancer does not return unnoticed. When a cure is not possible, they concentrate on medical care to reduce the severity of symptoms, relieve suffering, and improve the patient’s quality of life.

Our Infusion Center

With certain acute and chronic conditions, oral medication is not enough. Infusion therapy is a method to treat diseases by administering intravenous medications. Our infusion center is Coffee Regional’s latest addition, designed for patient care and comfort, allowing you to benefit from expert care locally. We offer a range of treatments for oncology and hematology issues in our infusion center, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, fluid hydration, apheresis, and more.

OUR NEW, IMPROVED INFUSION CENTER OPENED IN LATE FALL 2022 ON THE FIRST FLOOR OF CRMC.

Hematology Services

Hematology is the study of blood in health and disease, including problems with clotting disorders, bleeding disorders, and blood count abnormalities. Dr. Anderson, who Is board-certified in Hematology, Medical Oncology, and Internal Medicine, evaluates and treats conditions such as white and red blood cell disorders, platelet disorders, bleeding and clotting disorders, and hematologic cancers such as leukemia and myeloma. Infusion therapy for blood disorders, from transfusions of blood and platelets to chemotherapy and immunotherapy, is given locally in our Infusion Center at Coffee Regional Medical Center.
