Pediatrics at Coffee Regional Medical Center
Pediatricians are the primary physicians for most young children from birth through childhood and adolescence until young adulthood, generally considered to start at 21. They provide primary care for healthy children, such as physical exams and immunizations, watching over their physical, mental, and emotional development, and diagnosing any problems along the way. They also provide care for young patients who are acute or chronically ill, often working in collaboration with other physicians specializing in the area of sickness. In addition to physicians, nurses, and other clinicians and staff well-trained in pediatrics, Coffee Regional Medical Center has 21 acute care private rooms designed especially for younger patients.
