Vicki Lewis, FACHE, President and CEO of Coffee Regional Medical Center, Elected Chair-Elect of the Georgia Hospital Association Board of Trustees

 

ATLANTA – Vicki Lewis, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Coffee Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Douglas, was elected Chair-Elect of the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Hospital Association (GHA), as announced at the association’s Annual Meeting of the Assembly on July 11. Lewis, who has served on the GHA Board since 2019, will work with the Board in fulfilling its vision of shaping a healthier Georgia by serving as the leading advocate and supporter for all Georgia hospitals and health systems.

 

“Vicki Lewis is a leader in rural healthcare who has passionately advocated for high-quality care for all Georgians,” said GHA President and CEO Caylee Noggle. “Her healthcare acumen and extensive leadership skills will serve her well in this role, and we look forward to her leadership on the Board over the next few years.”

 

Vicki Lewis has served in her current role as CEO since 2014. Under her leadership, CRMC has experienced significant growth, achieving numerous national and state-level recognitions for safety, quality, and innovation. She has led the development of key initiatives, including the establishment of an internal medicine residency program, the expansion of outpatient services throughout the region, and the achievement of national accreditations in cancer care, interventional cardiology, and stroke readiness. With a focus on operational excellence, clinical quality, and a compassionate patient experience, she continues to strengthen CRMC’s role as a trusted regional healthcare provider.

 

A dedicated advocate for rural health, Lewis was honored in 2024 by the American Hospital Association as a Grassroots Champion for Rural Healthcare. Lewis has served since 2022 on the AHA Region 4 Policy Board and is actively engaged at both the state and national levels, working to shape policies that support healthcare access and sustainability in rural communities.

 

Prior to joining CRMC, Lewis held executive leadership and CEO roles within the Aurora Health Care system in Wisconsin and the OhioHealth system in Columbus, Ohio. She earned a Master of Science from Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University.
