Douglas, Ga. (January 6, 2026) — Coffee Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is proud to recognize Douglas National Bank (DNB) for its continued partnership and a significant $200,000 contribution through the Rural Hospital Tax Credit program. Over the past three years, DNB has donated a total of $650,000 to CRMC through the tax credit program, placing the bank among the top contributing community banks in the state.
“We are proud of our partnership and continued association with CRMC,” said Stuart Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Douglas National Bank. “At DNB, our mission extends beyond banking. As a true community bank, we are committed to supporting key pillars of our community. We are proud to call Douglas and Coffee County home and to invest our resources locally, knowing that a strong and stable healthcare provider is essential for our community and customers to thrive.”
Georgia HEART administers the Rural Hospital Tax Credit program, which allows Georgia businesses and individuals to redirect state tax dollars to support eligible rural hospitals. For CRMC, the program is a critical source of funding that strengthens both the hospital’s long-term sustainability and its ability to enhance patient care through strategic investments.
DNB’s contribution directly supports CRMC’s mission to provide exceptional care and wellness close to home. Funds received through the program help the hospital invest in essential needs such as advanced medical equipment, like CT scanners, and support future planning for expansions and renovations in key areas like the Emergency Department and the Labor & Delivery Unit.
“We are grateful for this significant donation by Douglas National Bank which demonstrates the power of local support and collaboration in sustaining rural healthcare,” said Vicki Lewis President & CEO of Coffee Regional Medical Center. “Contributions through Georgia HEART not only help meet today’s operational needs but also position our hospital to grow and adapt for the future, impacting Coffee County for generations to come.”
