At Coffee Regional Medical Center, our Internal Medicine Residency Program is rooted in a commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and community health.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Coffee Regional Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Residency Program is to train tomorrow’s physicians to be excellent practitioners who are well-rounded and kind, utilizing a foundation of integrity and compassion in their care for patients in both urban and rural settings.

Program Aims

The aims of Coffee Regional Medical Center’s Internal Medicine program are:

Providing residents with faculty role models and mentors who have trained in urban settings while caring for patients in a rural setting.

Providing residents with a patient population from several different surrounding counties who come from various socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds.

Providing exemplary medical care to our patients with passion and dedication, emphasizing medical education while promoting the health and well-being of our community.

Providing educational experiences in all of the core internal medicine subspecialties in the inpatient and outpatient settings.

This mission and these aims serve as the foundation for our curriculum, ensuring residents receive not only a comprehensive medical education but also the tools to become compassionate, skilled, and community-focused physicians.
